The door was sanded to 120 grit with a DA as the first rounds of fiberglass body filler were applied and sanded. The two-stage paint was really thick on the door for some reason. It and the layer of Feather Fill made it necessary to use an aggressive paper to remove it. Even at 120, it took quite a while to get it down to this point.
The once-broken rear edge of the driver's door was repaired earlier, but the seams and lines are now being filled and straightened.
This is the second round of filler in an attempt to clean up this very complicated and visible area. One of the most stared-at places on the car, this spot really needs to be absolutely perfect.
