Urethane

The rear rail of the soft top frame is a beautiful cast aluminum piece that needed quite a bit of work. Several parts are connected to it via machine screws, so there are 12 tapped holes that pass through it. One of those machine screws became stuck and snapped off years ago. To fix it, a previous owner drilled a new hole next to it and crudely threaded a new screw into it, making a mess.

After a bit of work to fix all of that and to retap the holes, this was sanded and primed.

This will be painted with matte black single-stage urethane enamel once it is reassembled onto the rest of the frame.

It was removed to make these repairs and to spare it the abuse of being media blasted with the rest of the frame.
