A night assignment at work left some time in the morning to continue working on the rocker. One of the welded nuts for the rocker trim on the left side needed to be replaced because of rust.
The old nut was ground off from behind and a new one was welded on.After that, this part of the birdcage was roughed up and treated again with a rust converter in preparation for filling the pitting and painting with epoxy primer this weekend.
