Dialed WAY down
The hard vacuum lines that run along the firewall were really rough. Worst is a spot where something, maybe the distributor, rubbed a hole in the line. These are terribly expensive in the aftermarket and to be honest the reproductions don't look right.
Repairing the large hole in the line was tricky. The welder was turned way down to avoid burning through the line. Progress of welding up the hole was slow to avoid sealing up the line.
It looks a lot better than could have been expected.
After a bit of gentle grinding on the weld, it is looking pretty good.
The two lines are soldered together in several places, but one spot had broken. After a bit of work it was soldered back together.
This will be taken to the electroplater since it's too long to plate here.
