No choice

The tray that bolts to the bottom of the frame and serves as the top of the spare tire carrier is not available from GM anymore and is not reproduced in the aftermarket. It's one of the few parts on this car that is like this.

Used ones go for as much as $375 and are difficult to find.

This one is in acceptable shape, but it's far from perfect. There are gouges in it and several deep scratches. If this was available in the aftermarket, it would be replaced. Instead, it was cleaned with a pressure washer and then with lacquer thinner before being dyed black.

It turned out pretty nice, but it's a good thing that this is under the car and out of sight for the most part.
