The troubled front of the car was purposefully kept to nearly the last in the line of panels needing body work in the hopes that all of the previous work would build experience and skill. This is the most critical part of the body and the part that is looked at the most and is the most complicated.
The front of the hood surround was so over sanded in the last repair and repaint that it must be fully covered with a thin layer of filler just to get it back to where it is supposed to be.
It is going to take so much time and work to get this ready for primer.
