The tail light panel is an exact copy of the original right down to the need to make adjustments, holes and attach nuts to it. Today, after some family obligations, the nuts that secure the rear valence to the car were removed and riveted onto the new tail light panel. They were ground off, media-blasted, polished and electroplated before a set of rivets were hammered into place.
Like so many things on this car, this will probably never be seen again, but it will be done correctly.
Once the panel is bonded to the car, it will be easier to drill out the other holes for the emblems, alarm lock cylinder and license plate nuts.
