$3,800 paint rack

With rain falling off and on, but temperatures just right to paint, the two-post lift in the shop was repurposed today as a paint rack so the convertible top frame could be painted.

To make it tougher, a semi-gloss black urethane-based paint was used.

In an effort to remain true to what was used on this car when it was new, acrylic enamel paint is usually what is used to paint parts, but this needs to a finish that is a bit tougher than what acrylic can produce.

From what research has revealed, this is very close to the original finish and should perform very well.
