Harbor Freight

Harbor Freight tools aren't the first choice when picking out equipment for the shop, but there are exceptions. The much maligned cheap tool source is normally a place to buy tools that break within minutes of putting them to use, but the metal polisher seems to be OK. It's at least cheaper by half to buy it and put it to use than to purchase two new bow lock brackets.

With a little work, these turned out really nice.

It would have been nice to have been able to sand out some scratches, but this is chromed pot metal so that would have made a big mess and cost the thin layer of chrome.

As it is, they turned out really nicely and provided some practice before the stainless steel trim for the hard top is polished.
