Several parts within the inside of the hardtop were dyed the color of the interior, including a piece of trim that runs beneath the rear window and the vinyl covers that snap over the two side mounting brackets. These two pieces join a huge headliner that is also dyed Dark Saddle Tan to round out the inside of the top. Together they should look really nice.
Zinc-plated and Parkerized hardware for the top was restored today as well.
The top is held into place in the rear by bolts and along the windshield by three showy chrome latches. This is the bracket that the center-mounted bracket fits into. Rusty, it was media-blasted and painted today.
All this is being done until the chrome parts for the seats come back from the chrome shop. Once the seats are completed, there will be room on the workbench for the top. Until then, these small parts are going to be restored.
