Stainless steel

These pieces of stainless steel garnish the windshield along the tops of the fenders. Like everything else on this car, they wore several heavy layers of paint before being stripped and painted with epoxy primer.

There were several little dents that were dollied out before some light sanding.

Painting stainless steel is more like prayer than painting, since nothing really sticks to it. The trick is to avoid scratching this until it is under paint and clear coat and fully cured.
