Aperture priority
With the lock pillar stripped and sanded, several chips in the fiberglass were repaired with epoxy and fiberglass mat. The area around the door striker was also filled with fiberglass filler to repair where it had been crushed. There is a bit more work to do around the detailed opening for the door guide, but that will be a long process since there is some significant damage.
The rocker was cut out and the surface rust was sanded with a flap disc and wire wheel before being chemically treated. This will again be worked over with a wire wheel and treated before the pitting is filled and prepared for primer. This side is so much better than the passenger side with only minor damage from rust.
Carriage bolts that probably once held lake pipes were removed from the frame. There might be two more in there, but they can be removed later when the frame is being refinished. Those probably rattled like a baby rattle in there.
