Never gets old

There is something satisfying about seeing before-and-after photos of parts being restored.

This is the right side hood latch that was restored today, completing the set of four parts that secure the hood.

Before it was media-blasted, it bore quite a bit of maroon paint from one of this car's several sloppy repaints.

The upside of the paint is that it keeps parts like these from rusting. It was painted so poorly that the paint now flakes off to reveal the original finish of these parts.
