First look


This color looks so good, even with a few imperfections in the clear coat.

The gun dripped onto one side and there is a run in the middle while there is a swag near the bottom of the other side. All in all, not a perfect first time laying down clear but not bad either.

It's harder than one might think to manage clear coat. So thin, it's the painting version of herding cats.

Making mistakes offers a lesson and an opportunity to learn. If this came out perfectly, it would have been totally by chance and nothing would have been learned.

How's THAT for a zen way of looking at the bright side of a lot of denibbing, color sanding and buffing?
