Complicated part
All the parts for the headlight assembly that were originally black were media-blasted, primed and painted matte black. The new paint gun made this a pleasure. The headlight buckets get the same green color as the birdcage, so that will be done as soon as possible to round out the cast parts.
There are several pieces of hardware on this part, all of which will have to be restored. Still waiting for the black manganese Parkerizing solution to come in, so the one part that is gray — this stop bolt — was Parkerized gray.
Two bolts are clear zinc plated, but the others are black.
The kit that is needed to build these assemblies up is quite expensive, so aside from restoring all of the parts that will be reused, this will be on hold until that can be ordered. Included in that kit are new vacuum actuators, springs, plastic bushings and some hardware.
