Black oxide

The black oxide plating kit that I ordered came in, so much of the day was spent blasting and replating a bunch of parts under the dash that were originally black oxide-plated restored. Pedal box stays, brackets and a bunch of nuts and bolts now all look like new.

The kit doesn't require electricity or heat to work. The process is easy and the results look terrific. The media blast cabinet makes this process work even easier and the results look perfect.

It was so fun to see the progress. Next will be a zinc-plating kit, a more expensive and much more elaborate process. It might be easier to make one instead of buying a kit.
