The knuckles were separated from the lower A-arms and then broken down to their elements for restoration.They are rough looking, but completely original, save for a couple of mixed-up bolts
The caliper brackets are going to be difficult to restore, but the rest will be fairly easy and should be done by the end of the week. The brackets are famously the only things on this car that are yellow/gold cadmium plated. This isn't a difficult metal treatment process to apply, but it's really difficult to do well on pitted metal and these original ones are very pitted.
There are reproductions, but they are all inexplicably clear zinc plated instead of gold and don't look right. There are NOS ones available, but they go for a lot of money. It's going to take a little thinking to figure out how best to proceed without breaking the bank.
