On the way up

The first part to be put on the frame was the power steering bracket, which was restored yesterday along with two crossmembers. 

Installing the fuel tank was really fun, despite the fact that it's a difficult task. The tank straps are really tight and require a lot of pulling and banging with a rubber mallet to get into place.

This will make way for the steel fuel lines which will be tracked down and ordered next.

It's so satisfying to see so many parts go onto the car so quickly, and though that will slow down after this weekend, hopefully this process goes somewhat quickly.

Next was the parking brake cables, at least the ones that have been collected so far.

There are two brackets that hold the rear parking brake cables in place. Those are being restored next.

There is no real need to start at one particular spot, so it made sense to start with parts that had already been purchased.
