It was time to refinish the outer seat belt reinforcements. These exist in the aftermarket, but with a little media blasting, these cleaned up well enough to refinish and reuse.

The aftermarket ones come in a Parkerized finish, but with a little investigation it was clear that these originally were painted matte black.

With that, it was time to do just that with these.

The inside, which one does not see, show heavy damage from deep rust, but the outside cleaned up very well.

Once these cure, they will be riveted and bonded back into place.
