Well, the door fitment isn't quite THAT bad, but it's not great. There is a lot of work to do to get the door gaps right, but most of the difficult work involves removing material from the door which is much easier than adding.
This is a notorious area of poor fitment for these cars. A solution is to get this door to move up farther on the hinges, but it may also be necessary to add material to the door.
The lower hinge will have to be shimmed to get the bottom of the door to sit farther away from the car and line it up with the front fender better. A set of used shims were located on eBay and ordered in.
In the meantime, we're waiting for more primer to come in so the front clip can be primed again after block sanding.
