The left side of the front clip is now bonded onto the car. In 24 hours, this will all be cured, but it's clamped and where it's going to be. It's nearly impossible to take this off and have it go back on in exactly the same spot on the car, but pains were taken to get it as close as possible.
The car's panel gaps were never great - none of these cars were perfect or even close to perfect. The intersection of the doors with the front fenders is easily the worst spot on these cars. Even if the front clip had never been removed, there would still be lots of work to do to correct how the two panels meet up.
A restored car by definition is one that has been restored back to what it was the day it was assembled. By that definition, this car's gaps should be no worse but no better than they were on that day.
