Work begins to prepare the right door for primer. A DA sander makes removing the thick layer of paint easier.
Though these cars came from the factory with only a driver-side exterior mirror, many folks installed one on the passenger side in an appeal to their apparent need for symmetry. This car was no exception.
At some point, it was given what looks like several different mirrors, so there were six holes drilled into the door skin. These will be filled and no mirror will be installed on this door.
The original asymmetrical look is a good one.
