With the correct - and very necessary - seal driver, the water pump seal went in perfectly and the pump is back together again.
Turning the pump, everything feels smooth and new, which is nice.
With a feeler gauge, the impeller was pressed into place .010" from the pump housing. It all looks good.
Now the rear cover will be installed and torqued down and this will be ready to prime in and set aside.
