Asymmetry

On modern automobiles, there are two side mirrors on the doors, but this car came originally with only one on the driver's door. Many owners had a second mirror added to the passenger door later in the car's ownership and this car was no exception to that.

At some point, a previous owner replaced the side mirrors with a set of more modern, plastic bullet-style mirrors that are common on cars today.

The single original-style flag mirror will go back on the car, but only after the damage caused by the other mirrors' installations over the years is repaired.

Work on the doors comes next, so this was ordered to allow this repair to happen. Once it warms up a bit for a day or so and the final coat of primer can be sprayed out, that process will begin.
