Gorgeous

The rear bumpers, after nearly six months at the chrome shop, are back. The of course look amazing. These were very rusty and had a few mysterious holes that had been drilled that had to be welded up before chrome.

The transformation is remarkable.

Before boxing them up, the inside surfaces were painted with a rust-inhibiting paint that, because of its color, will be shiny and silver enough not draw attention to the fact that they were painted. There is really no other way to keep this from rusting since the insides are in the shadow of the plating process and don't get much coverage.

The junkyard markings tell the story that these are not original to the car, but are without a doubt GM originals. They've been with the car for a LONG time. Though they were rough, they were in better shape than many used sets that have been for sale.
