Decades

One more look before the passenger seat is disassembled. This comparison is the reason one seat was done while the other waited in the wings.

The transformation is shocking.

From looking at the seats, it appears a previous owner really wanted the car to have a black interior. The seat backs were spray painted black.

The Dark Saddle Tan is really lovely, much nicer than just standard black. At least that's the opinion of the car's current owner.

The manner in which the springs were attached to the zig-zag wire will be photographed so it can be duplicated when this is reassembled.

The seat bottoms were stitched in some places through the seat foam to the covers, but this is not necessary and won't be repeated.

The hinges are in terrible shape, sadly. One machine screw is fused to the inboard hinge. It might be a good idea to let Whitworks remove it to save damage to the part.
