Clem Johnson
Clem Johnson, owner of Tuba Trucks in Fayetteville, wet-sands the door of a 1965 Chevrolet C10 pickup that his company is restoring for a customer. Johnson's company provides restoration and mechanical work for classic cars and trucks.
Careful readers of this blog will remember that Johnson trailered this car up from Booneville, Ark., and is a good friend. He's also a master at restoring cars and painting in the old ways. Painting a metal-flake single-stage paint is very difficult, but Johnson makes it look easy.
What he is doing is no less a magic trick than pulling a rabbit from a hat. He's the best around and when he speaks about painting, you can bet he has all the ears in the room.
