The grille now meets up to the clip correctly, or very nearly so, after adding some fiberglass to the lower valance to make it flat. This is more correction of previous collision damage from back in the 1970s.
Words cannot describe how badly this fit up with a 3/8-inch gap between the grille and the valance at the corner. Yet, with another couple rounds of fiberglass and work with filler and a block sander, this will be as good as new.
