Working ahead

The deck lid guides, bumper brackets and convertible top guide latches were media-blasted and painted ahead of the reassembly of the deck lid.

Though these parts are all small and very complicated, there doesn't seem to be any flaws in the paint which is really nice.

These parts are supposed to be black but like everything else they were painted in one of the many repaints this car was given.

The hardware that is used to attach all of these parts was restored as well. Once the deck lid is painted and the paint cures, these parts save for the two rods for the convertible top latches will be ready to put it all back together.
