Oversize load

The rod that connects the inside door handle to the door latch (right) was WAY too long to fit into the electroplating setup in the shop, but a large paint roller tray worked well to temporarily serve for a vat to plate this part.

It was really flimsy and was difficult to lift and pour the plating solution back into the 2-gallon bucket without spilling a bit, but the results are totally worth it.

The tabs that locate the door panel, inspired by hook and loop attachments, came in and were riveted onto the door shell as well. With the access door in the queue to be painted the total number of these needed was miscounted, but enough to finish this door and do the driver's door will be ordered.

After taking in a few jobs, there is a bit of money to buy the door latch and the door handle assembly this week.
