Easter egg
The passenger door has some rust damage in the inner front corner so a suitable line to cut the damage out was made in masking tape and a cut was made.
After the rusty portion was removed, surface rust was sanded with the Roloc and then treated with rust converter. The raw steel was primed while the surfaces that the patch will be welded to were treated with weld-through primer.
There was a portion of the inner structure where it was spot-welded to the outer skin of the door that was replaced with new metal before more rust conversion was performed.
Most of the rust in this door is just surface rust, but there was some deeper rust where the fiberglass outer door skin is bonded to the inner metal door.
This was roughed and treated with rust converter. This process will be repeated during the week until it is ready to be sealed with epoxy primer.
Spraying out the inside of the door is something that will be done more carefully than it would be normally because of something that was discovered today.
Graffiti on GM cars by line workers has been documented many times in the past, but it was fun to find some on this car.
To be honest, it's difficult to read and make sense out of, but this was scrawled on the inside of the outer, fiberglass door skin. It looks like it reads "This all" with a few scribbles and drawings before and after it.
Can you make anything out of it?
