A tach-drive distributor of this era isn't impossible to find, but finding one in original condition under $250 has proven difficult until finding this one on eBay. It will be next in the line to be restored.
The temptation to keep everything original is great, but converting this to electronic ignition in the place of breaker points is tempting. It would be such a huge improvement that losing a bit of originality for the sake of function would probably be worth it. We'll see.
