Coming together

The interior lights came in the mail today. After some wrangling and a little soldering, they work and fit well. The housings are a lot more brittle than expected and broke when the rivets were installed, but they're in there.

Next time — and there will be a next time since these will not last forever packed inside of a blast cabinet — a different method will be used to attach them to the cabinet.

Next will be the construction of a dust collection system using something called a Dust Deputy. It's a cyclone dust collector that collects dust into a bucket instead of allowing it to clog up a wet/dry vacuum's filter.

With a rheostat and some vacuum hose, this should work well.
